The premiere episode of "Once Upon A Time" season 5 premiere left viewers with a lot of questions and the second episode did not fully answer those as Emma Swan being the Dark One did save a major character using her dark magic. Unfortunately, it comes with a price.
According to International Business Times, the second episode entitled "The Price" started with what happened in Camelot when the gang from Storybrooke tried to save Emma from succumbing into the darkness. The kingdom welcomed them and King Arthur's wife, Queen Guinevere, even threw a ball for them. However, they were not interested in dancing as they wanted to find Merlin in order to free Emma from the darkness.
Merlin was indeed in Camelot but was stuck inside a tree and according to his prophecy, the Savior is the only one who can free him. Regina then lied that it was her who was the true Savior as they did not want to let anyone know that Emma was the savior. Regina and Emma then searched the tower of Merlin for clues but failed to find any. The kingdom later discovers that Regina is not the real savior and is actually the Evil Queen after Percival gave her a necklace to wear which was used to spy on her.
Comic Book also reported that after Percival had announced the truth, he tried to kill Regina but Robin saved her and got stabbed in the stomach. Regina could not use her magic for some reason and Emma is the only one who can. However, her visions of Rumpelstiltskin appeared and she said that saving Robin's life has a price, which then triggered the darkness in her.
Meanwhile, Yibada reported that back in Storybrooke, the people are frightened of The Dark Swan. The Seven Dwarves decided to leave town but when Dopey tried to cross the border, he turned into a tree. As for Hook, he tried to kiss Swan to see if a "true love's kiss" will break the darkness in Emma but it does not work out.
The second episode of "Once Upon A Time" fifth season ended with Emma seeing the Excalibur and Rumpelstiltskin telling her to use the dagger to make it whole again.
