Amber Rose's Slutwalk event in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 3 became emotional when she talked about her famous ex'es Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West.
The 31-year-old model couldn't keep herself from crying when she spoke about how bad she felt when her former partners said something bad about her. She had a tearful speech on the occasion. The mother-of-one was supported by her mother, Dorothy Rose, who carried a sign that says, "F*** YO 30 Showers!" Amber's slutwalk event was aimed to encourage women to be proud of their bodies and their style choices, E! News reports.
"I've decided to have this SlutWalk for women who have been through s-t," Amber said in the beginning of her speech. Even though I am up here crying I want to be the strong person you all look up to and do apologize for all guys. I want to forgive Kanye about what he said about me. I want to let all of that negativity go."
Amber, who has a 2-year-old son, Sebastian "The Bash" Taylor Thomaz, with Wiz filed divorce with the rapper in 2014. "He came out with that song and that really hurt me because all I did was ever love him," Amber said of Wiz. "I just loved him so much and gave him a beautiful son and to be told that I was nothing but a stripper, um, it hurt."
At Amber's slutwalk event, she mentioned that she's also forgiving Kanye West, who previously slammed her with slut-shaming words. She and Kanye dated on and off from 2008 to 2010. In February, the music mogul released harsh words about her claiming that he has to take shower 30 times if he was with Amber before returning to his wife, Kim Kardashian, Hollywood Life reports.
"I want to forgive Kanye for what he said about me," Amber said. "I want to let all that negative, that negativity go." The slutwalk model claimed that Wiz had apologized to her and she had forgiven him. Sadly, Kanye has never said sorry for what he said about her.
Amber's slutwalk event gathered hundreds of supporters, who joined her in raising awareness against sexual violence, derogatory labeling, gender inequality, and victim blaming. It is definitely a successful event hosted by Amber's Foundation that is aimed at helping women across the world.
