Blake Shelton recently opened up about his post-divorce life and how he's doing since his divorce from wife of four years Miranda Lambert. Although the couple had been dating for six years prior to their marriage, both were saddened as they announced their separation just two months ago. Despite the sudden and heartbreaking situation, Blake admitted that he's 'doing great.'
According to E! Online, Blake Shelton opened up about his post-divorce life in an interview with "CMT Hot 20 Countdown" last October 3. In the interview, the 39-year-old country singer admitted that although it was hard at first, he's now doing great and is gradually moving on from his marriage with Miranda Lambert.
Stating that he's 'in a good place', Blake went on to explain that he wasn't before. "I'm in a good place", he explained. "I wasn't but I am now. It's amazing how quickly life can turn around for you. I've had some pretty cool things in recent times that've happened and I'm loving it."
Design & Trend also reported on the interview and how Blake has drastically lost a huge amount of weight since the divorce. Jokingly, "The Voice" coach added "I would like to sit here and tell you that I've been exercising, but I haven't been." The 39-year-old had also previously joked about being on a 'divorce diet' after admitting he has cut back on the greasy type of food.
In another report by US Magazine, despite being 'devastated' and 'heartbroken' over the divorce, Blake has kept himself busy with various projects, which he admitted has helped. He continued to explain in the interview "I wasn't, like, going to the gym. Just stay as busy as you can to kind of keep your mind off of everything."
Two months after their divorce, both Blake Shelton and former wife Miranda Lambert have taken to the media to let their fans know how they're doing. Though the divorce was sudden, Blake previously mentioned it was a quick procedure that finished in less than 10 days. Both celebrities are gradually moving on from their heartaches and have decided to remain friends.
