Junkie XL, otherwise known as Tom Holkenborg, was the genius behind the musical scoring for "Mad Max: Fury Road." Now, Holkenborg has signed up to start working on the "Deadpool" movie. As for Ryan Reynolds, he shares his thoughts on why the movie is going to be an overall success.
ComingSoon.net reported that Junkie XL will start working on the "Deadpool" movie's musical scoring on Monday. Tom Holkenborg announced it via Twitter to the delight of his fans. Tom is the name behind the alias "Junkie XL" and was the one who composed the music behind "Mad Max: Fury Road" movie. Fans and moviegoers will soon hear his latest composition on "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice." He has also worked alongside Hans Zimmer for musical scoring of movies such as "Man of Steel, "The Dark Knight Rises", and "The Amazing Spiderman 2."
Uproxx adds that tapping Junkie XL's services to work on the overall tone for "Deadpool" is the right choice. Holkenborg's signature music focuses on powerful drum-heavy hooks and is expected to provide balance on the film's comedy tease. Set to hit theaters on February 12, 2016, the movie will hopefully be a smashing hit.
The motion picture by Fox will star Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hilderbrand, Morena Baccarin, and Ed Skrein. Colossus is said to be featured in the film but will not be played by Daniel Cudmore, as confirmed by Cudmore himself. Reynolds hopes to have Hugh Jackman to do a crossover as Wolverine but there has not been any confirmation if it will happen.
However, Ryan Reynolds believes that the "Deadpool" movie will be a success, according to iSCHOOLGUIDE. He admits that his lead role as Hal Jordan in "Green Lantern" didn't go well. He says it might be because the film showed "similar archetypes and the notion can be somewhat fatiguing." Reynolds doesn't lament doing the movie though.
The Merc with a Mouth is different, according Ryan Reynolds. The comedy as well as the R-rating are not the reasons why "DP" has gained so much momentum. He says it is a matter of timing and that the movie has come along at just the right time. Reynolds added that most of the moviegoers want to see something different other than the usual archetype of superhero movies being flung at them. He believes that the movie has "spoken" to a "generation of people" that will become essential to its success.
Producers are expectant that "Deadpool" will be a success and are hoping to work out a sequel before the movie is shown. If Ryan Reynolds' assessment is proven correct plus the addition of Tom Holkenberg, better known as Junkie XL, to work on the film's musical scoring, definitely the film will exceed expectations.
