The adorable but very forgetful blue tang fish is set to swim in the big screen again in Finding Dory. She is set to go on an adventure to find her family, but might get separated along the way from Nemo and Marlin.

The sequel to the hit 2004 film is currently underway, with Ellen DeGeneres also back as Dory and the film will be set six months after the events in Finding Nemo. However, as reported by Independent her new adventure in the new film will focus on her as she is set to look for her family. The goal will be to get to Monterey Marine Life Institute where everything started.

According to Rappler, Dory will once again embark on an adventure with Marlin and Nemo, however, Disney also posted a photo of Dory alone inside an aquarium while the grumpy-looking Octopus named Hank points one of his legs to her from the outside, which could indicate that she may have been separated from them at that point.

In her adventure, Dory is also set to meet new sea-creatures such as the beluga whale named Bailey who will be voiced by Ty Burrell, and the whale shark named Destiny, who will be brought to life by Kaitlin Olson. Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy are also on board to play as Dory's parents, Jenny and Charlie.

According to Chicago Tribune, Albert Brooks will also be back to reprise his role as Marlin while a sixth grader from Aurora named Hayden Rolence will be the new voice of Nemo replacing Alexander Gould for the role. According to the trade, Rolence was cast for the role when he was 9 and had to keep tight-lipped about the movie for two years.

Also, DeGeneres previously revealed that putting the fishes to their rightful habitat will be the main point of the film. "I think that fish should be in the ocean", DeGeneres said. "which is what this whole sequel is about: rehabilitation and putting them back in the ocean... And we have to protect our oceans.", she added.

Finding Dory is directed by Andrew Stanton along with co-director Angus MacLane. It is also written by Stanton with Victoria Stouse and is set to hit theaters on June 17, 2016.
