LG G Stylo has been revealed by T-Mobile to receive the most exciting treat from Google the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The software upgrade is coming near to the device before the year ends, as reported previously.
G Stylo smartphones are all set for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow as T-Mobile revealed on its support page via a track list that the device is coming near to the update. Previous reports suggested that the update might come in October or later in December although these months remain unofficially announced.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow is all set for roll out through an over-the-air (OTA) release. Google confirmed last month that its own Nexus 5X made by LG, Nexus 6P made by Huawei and Android One phones will come with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Being one of the hugest telecom companies in the US, T-Mobile has released a bunch of smartphones and tablets to receive the update aside from G Stylo. The track list includes G4, G3, G2, and devices of Samsung, Sony, HTC, and Motorola.
It would be fitting however that the list revealed by the carrier is designed to track the release of the update to its G Stylo devices. This means, the update depends on the carrier and region. On top of that, the exact release date has not yet been confirmed.
G Stylo has just been updated to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, G4 and G3 to Android 5.1 and G2 to Android 5.0.2 version.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring the following features and enhancements:
- Doze Mode. This new feature screens phone and puts into a deep sleep when unused to prolong battery life.
- Now on Tap. Google Now get better function. Press holding the home button will show up Google Now and exhibits information based on current status or activity.
- Android Pay. By just a simple tap, bring up Android Pay and make purchases without the need to launch another app.
- Direct share. Share photos, links, news, files, etc. with selected contacts with ease and quickness.
- Simpler volume controls. Control ringtone and media volume spontaneously.
In another news, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has been made available to G3 through a custom ROM made by TeamJB. Motorola, on the other hand, has confirmed 11 devices to pioneer the software upgrade.
