When fans talk about the metal-clawed character Wolverine, they always think of Hugh Jackman. Of course, the guy has played the role for quite some time now; and since "Wolverine 3" will be the actor's last take of the franchise, he reportedly wants the script to be perfect. Meanwhile, Tom Hardy is eyed to be next Adamantium mutant.
As reported by The Indian Express, the forthcoming "Wolverine 3" will be Hugh Jackman's final take of the franchise; thus, the actor has been very particular about how the movie should run. It is also believed that he won't start shooting the third installment unless the script is perfect and is in part with his standards.
"I'm sounding a little cagey because this is the last time I'm playing him," Jackman said in an interview with Collider. The 46-year-old Australian actor made a commitment to himself that "until that script is perfect, until it is that perfect way to sign out," and that if things won't go his way, "I'm not gonna start shooting."
Although Jackman's statement is something that might worry most of the fans, it is reported that the script is almost finish - exactly as how the actor wants it to be. In fact, they are reportedly planning to start production by 2016 and they have made the necessary preparations already.
Ever since Jackman took the role of the iconic X-Man, the actor has not let go of it. However, he is reportedly eyeing someone who will be fit to replace him as Wolverine in future "X-Men" movies. According to Yibada, Jackman is picking Tom Hardy as his successor. The former believes that he will be a suitable replacement to play as Logan, given Hardy's epic and successful performances in films such as "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "The Dark Knight Rises."
Meanwhile, joining "Wolverine 3" is Patrick Stewart, who will reprise his role as Professor Xavier. He will be playing a vital role in the film, as the story tries to explore the father-son relationship of the two- something that has never been tackled before.
Assuming things go smoothly, "Wolverine 3" will hit theaters on March 3, 2017; so fans better hope for the script to be as perfect as Hugh Jackman's expectations.
