The LG G4 Pro was confirmed by the company to be called as the LG V10 instead. This is a dual-screen smartphone was suggested by several reports to be launched this coming October 10.
According to Phone Arena, the rumored LG G4 Pro (model H900) appears to be better than the existing G4 in most of the key departments. As one would anticipate in a 'pro' variant, the display is expected to increase from 5.5 to 5.7-inches with LG seemingly composed to toss in an additional gig of RAM to boot. The move from 3 to 4 GB of RAM must also show a more fluid user experience, while the on-board storage could be doubled to 64 GB.
According to benchmark, the LG G4 Pro bears a model number H900. The device was reported to have the same hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, and will unfortunately run with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and not Android M, Yibada wrote.
It is also noted that the LG G4 Pro is the company's hope to gain disrepute in the phablet market. Phablets have gained popularity in the past few years due to its hybrid features. In addition, LG G4 Pro will come with 64GB internal storage which can be expanded through a microSD. For camera configuration, the device was stated to sport a 15 megapixel back camera with 4K video capture and a 5 megapixel selfie-snapper for video chat.
A report from PC Advisor states that the new G4 Pro looks a lot like the LG G4 with its familiar shape, Rear Key, and Quad-HD IPS Quantum Display. However, the LG V10 or the LG G4 Pro adds into the combination a second screen, dual front snappers, and a new fingerprint scanner.
The new device will also have a more hard-wearing design with a Dura Guard metal frame and Dura Skin protective covering on the rear and bottom of the display. The G4 Pro will also have a textured grid pattern which enhances grip in the hand.
Starting this month, the LG V10 a.k.a. LG G4 Pro will be available in Korea to be followed by the United States, Latin America, Middle East, China and key countries in Asia, as reported by LG.
