On October 20, HTC will be launching its next "One" branded smartphone dubbed as HTC One A9. The device has been spotted passing through the FCC and GFC, all but confirmed that it is heading to the US.
In the past few months, the HTC One A9 has already been leaked a few times and it looks to be a mid-range handset. The latest rumor suggests that the phone will come in 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 617 SoC.
The device will also carry a 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. A 13 MP camera was also spotted on the leak, even though things could have changed since then, Android Authority reports.
Technobuffalo stated that they do not officially know what the latest HTC device will be called. However, a few recent filings seemed to indicate that the rumors of an HTC One A9 look pretty correct. Moreover, the forthcoming HTC One A9 has passed through the Global Certification Forum earlier this week where it's registered as the HTC One A9.
It was spotted visiting the FCC under the title, A9u. That is possibly an international version of the latest device which ought to work on most U.S. carriers, too.
As to more of its specifications; the HTC One A9 is predicted to have a new design along with a combination of mid-range specs. The handset is reported to sport an Ultrapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and a fingerprint scanner. The device could be available in a selection of colors such as gold, silver, garnet (purple/red), rose gold and cast iron.
More smartphones from HTC are anticipated to be launched during the last quarter of the year, both mid-rangers, and high-end devices. The HTC One A9 is expected to run on the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Pocket now wrote.
The mid-range smartphone HTC One A9 will be revealed at events that will be happening this coming October 20 in New York, London, and New Delhi.
