Blizzard's StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void will kick off one month from now and fans can get a taste of the final part of the StarCraft II trilogy with Whispers of Oblivion, a special three-mission prologue created to bridge the storyline between Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void. This comes free to everyone with the new patch 3.0 that is now live and available for download.
The missions were supposedly accessible for those who pre-ordered the Legacy of the Void but with the new Patch 3.0, it is given away for free to anyone. PC World reports that those who want to play the prologue missions should just go to Battle.net, then go to the StarCraft II section of the site and install the starter pack and right away, all the missions can already be played.

When StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void will come out in November, it comes in a Standard Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Collector's Edition. Below are the details about the different editions:
Standard Edition:
- Available in physical and digital versions
- Digital version is now available for pre-purchase for $39.99.
Digital Deluxe Edition:
- Players who have preorders have an option to upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition for $59.99
