New York Comic Con kicks off two days from now and hardcore fans of Street Fighter 5 can expect a number of great things from Capcom such as a chance to get their hands on latest public build of the game as well as try out the newly announced playable fighters such as Zangief, Karin, and Rashid plus the newly leaked character, Laura .
Via an official press release, Capcom has announced that the public might be seeing a new build of Street Fighter 5 including the prematurely leaked character Laura. The press release reads, "and fists will fly if another new challenger decides to join the fight," reports Event Hubs.
In a different report, Famitsu, a Japanese video game magazine, has accidentally leaked the screenshots of Laura while sharing screenshots of Zangief who was announced earlier. According to the leak, she's Brazilian based on the color of her outfit that resembles the Brazilian flag.
Laura is the third character of the four new additions to the Street Fighter 5 roster. The Brazilian fighter has fighting style that also includes electrical powers. One of the leaked images shows a lightning bolt comes crashing down on Ryu.
The images were already deleted and apparently, the online leak of the character has spoiled the idea of a big revelation on the coming New York Comic Con event. Latin Post noted that Laura's skills is something of a mixture style and possibly this is one reason why the Capcom had waited for such a big event to make the reveal, and only to be spoiled by the leak.
Capcom will be holding a panel discussion with a guest appearance by producer Yoshinori Ono. The presentation will be more on the Street Fighter 5, and it will take place on Saturday, October 10 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. EDT in Room 1A10. The New York Comic Con starts Oct. 8 up to Oct. 11.
Street Fighter 5 is developed for PS4 and PC and will have a simultaneous worldwide release in Spring of 2016.
