Disney has released their movie schedule calendar through 2020. Marvel Studio and Disney also had made some changes in the release schedules of some movies including "Cars 3" and "Incredibles 2".
The Hollywood Reported confirmed that Disney has made some changes and additions to the calendar. With the newly dated movies, the release date for Pixar's "Cars 3" directed by John Lasseter (June 16, 2017) and Brad Bird's "The Incredibles 2" (June 21, 2019) were highlighted. "Toy Story 4" has been moved to June 15, 2018 from June 16, 2017 in exchange for the release of the "Cars 3".
According to the Variety, Walt Disney Studio released 19 movie dates including six Marvel titles which include "Ant-Man" sequel, "Black Panther", "Captain Marvel" and three untitled Marvel films. "Ant-man and the Wasp" is sitting for a July 6, 2018 release while the three untitled films will be out on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020 and November 6, 2020. "Black Panther" was moved from July 6, 2018 to February 16, 2018. On the other hand, "Captain Marvel" has forwarded eight months from November 2, 2018 to March 8, 2018.
In the list, two new movies were also revealed. Deadline noted that these movies were hinted out at Disney's annual D23 Expo last August. Disney Animation's Gigantic is slated for a release on March 9, 2018 while Coco will bow on November 22, 2017. Other than those, the four untitled live-action fairy-tale movies listed for a release on Dec. 22, 2017; Nov. 2, 2018; March 29, 2019 and Nov. 8, 2019 were speculated to either make room for the Maleficent, Mulan, Tinkerbell, Mary Poppins and Cinderella movie franchise.
Lately, Incredibles 2 director Brad Bird announced that his new project will hit the cinema before the "Cars 3". But, it turned out that it was not the case. "Cars 3" is two years way ahead of the "Incredibles 2".
With "Cars 3" taking the original schedule of "Toy Story 4", the studio has not given any reason for the swap. Will this be acceptable for the moviegoers especially to the Toy Story fans?
