Team PanGu is working with K33n, jailbreaker, to be able to release the jailbreak code on iOS 9.0.2 by the end of October. Along with the process of jailbreaking, Kernel Patch Protection system remains as an issue with the encryption because it makes the phone to panic when this is manipulated. On one hand, source code on iOS 9.0.2 is now available.
Christian Today reported TaiG and PanGu teams are facing challenges in encrypting the new code for jailbreak. This is caused by the manipulation of kernel files that hinders to be coded. The report also cautioned iPhone users that they must choose which version they want to jailbreak since Apple terminated the adaption to older versions. The report added that Apple has released the final beta version for iOS 9.1 which is somewhat like similar to iOS 9.0.2. If this is the case, jailbreak for iOS 9.1 can also work on iOS 9.0.2.
On the other hand, Github noted the source code of iOS 8.4.1 which is entitled as incomplete iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak by Kim Jong Cracks (8.4.1 codesign & sandbox bypass w/ LPE to root). Yibada mentioned that there are also directions on how to successfully do iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak through Toctou, a jailbreak tool. In this tool, bypass checks on CFBundleExecutables (akin to evasi0n) once ipa file Info.plist is pointing to /var/mobile/Media/something.
For those who are not familiar, a jailbreak phone allows download and additional applications, extensions, and themes that are restricted or unavailable with Apple app store. Thus, jailbreaking permits the expansion of various features on the phone such as Spotlight Search, transit directions in Apple Maps, and a new Split-View multitasking mode for the iPad, GottabeMobile reported.
Apple does not have any reports on when exactly is the release of the jailbreak code on iOS 9.0.2. In the meantime, iOS users can wait until the end of this month for the new code.
