The term 'Dad Bod' is not new and a lot of people get this label when guys start to look rounder, bigger and basically have a big round belly. Just recently, the internet was set abuzz when photos of Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel revealed a dad bod instead of the toned muscular physique he has.
The action hero, best known as Dominic Toretto of the Fast and Furious franchise, was seen shirtless on his hotel room balcony at Miami. A few shots of him looking over the surroundings with his protruding belly and fat arms could make his fans look twice to recognize the superstar.
Diesel has given his response to this news, sharing his disapproval with body shaming. In his Instagram account, the actor posted photos with captions to tell off body shamers. In the first photo, Diesel was wearing a black shirt and sunglasses showing his side view profile where his chest and arms look buff and fit. He captioned it saying, "Body-shaming is always wrong! What do you think?"
In the second photo, Diesel lifted up his shirt, showing off his six-packs. This definitely shut the mouths of his body shamers and reassured fans who know and idolize him for his tough image.
According to Musictimes, Diesel did not close the case with his posts in his social media platform but he also talked about it when he was invited to guest on Good Morning America. He said that he can accept the reactions but asserted his distaste with body shaming. "I don't care, really. I'm not trying to be in super shape all of the time. I'm trying to master my craft of making films." But again he reiterated his negative view on body shaming, "I do think it's wrong to body shame."
Things worked out well, Diesel accepts the criticism over dad bod look, claims he doesn't care, speaks about the evil of body shaming and finally shows off his six-pack abs. Meanwhile, Diesel now gives his focus to new movie 'The Last Witch Hunter', attending its New York premiere yesterday, October 13.
