"The Great Gatsby" actress Carey Mulligan welcomes her first baby with husband Marcus Mumford. The proud first-time parents named their newborn, Evelyn.

The 30-year-old English actress and her 28-year-old musician husband are now officially parents to a healthy baby girl. According to Hollywood Life, the actress gave birth in September. The pregnancy was as hush hush as the very private wedding ceremony that she and her husband had in barn in Bridegwater, England on April 12, 2012.

Rumors of her pregnancy began surfacing when she came to the premiere for her movie, "Far From the Madding Crowd", wearing a sparkling, loose-fitting Christian Dior dress. The gown was decorated with sequins and floral lace detail at the hem. Her baby bump was not very obvious then.

When she came to the 2015 Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall on June 7, it was not so hard to spot the baby bump that she was trying to conceal underneath the loose-fitting oxblood color gown, according to US Weekly. Prior to the Tony Awards, Mulligan had also tried to hide her growing tummy when she came to the 2015 Met Gala by wearing a black trapeze Balenciaga gown with an embroidered ring collar.

Mulligan and her husband remained tightlipped about the pregnancy. According to E! News, a source has said told them exclusively, "Carey has given birth to a healthy and happy baby. She is just enjoying this time with her family and close friends."

Giving birth did not slow Mulligan. She reportedly made her first appearance to the NYC premiere of her latest film "Suffragette", in which she stars alongside Meryl Streep and Helena Bonham Carter. She showed off her post-baby bod in a strapless black dress which she topped with bright red lips. But after keeping mum about her pregnancy, she has finally come clean and reveals that they have named her little bundle of joy "Evelyn". Other than that there are no other details available.

Carey Mulligan's pregnancy was not something that she was keeping as a secret but it's just that she and her husband Marcus deeply value privacy. But it is obvious that they are proud parents of a healthy baby girl they named Evelyn.
