Samsung Electronics first introduced a smartphone running on Tizen operating system last January, which was the Samsung Z1. The Korean tech giant has produced another device running on same OS, the Z3 that has finally arrived in India sporting great specifications and features.
According to Digital Trends, the Samsung Z3 features a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen with a 720p resolution. This device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor working hand-in-hand with 1GB of RAM. Although Z3 Tizen is only equipped with 8GB of internal storage built in, Samsung armed the phone with a MicroSD card slot, which allows the user to add an extra 128GB of space for videos and pictures storage. As for its camera, the Samsung Z3 sports a 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera having a f/2.2 aperture.
In addition, a press release made by Samsung stated that Z3 Tizen is powered by a long-lasting 2,600mAh battery accompanied by 'Ultra Power Saving Mode'. This allows the smartphone to be operated on standby mode for up to 33 hours with less than 10 percent of battery life. This handset also features 'Ultra Data Saving Mode,' which provides data compression and management capabilities for up to 40 percent less mobile data usage.
As the Samsung Z3 Tizen is designed exactly for the Indian market, it comes preloaded with 'My Galaxy' app that let consumers experience various exclusive services, local deals, entertainment content, and continuous value on extensively used categories like recharge, travel, movies, fashion and post purchase assistance. In addition, this device also features the 'Mix Radio' app, which is only available for Samsung consumers. Mix Radio is the world's most personalized free music streaming service with over 35 million songs to choose from, including extensive local catalogue of over 10 genres of Indian music.
For the Samsung Z3's price, the device is tagged at Rs 8,490, according to an article by The Indian Express.
With the great specs and features of the Samsung Z3 Tizen, the Korean tech giant has its hopes up for it to surpass the Z1 not only in sales but in reviews as well.
