Google has recently unveiled its latest company-built tablet, the Pixel C, during its Nexus event. It is a 2-in-1 hybrid device that features Nvidia Tegra X1 chipset and 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system instead of Chrome OS.
The Google Pixel C is a 10.2-inch tablet, which is set to rival Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 and Apple's iPad Pro. It boasts a detachable keyboard that is magnetically attached to the device, which feels more portable, sturdier, and better spaced. This accessory does not need a kickstand and can be adjusted from 100 to 135 degrees. Hence, with a full-sized keyboard, Pixel C is produced to be useful while performing extensive typing.
Apparently, it comes in at 308 pixels per inch and its design is one of its biggest key factors. It is made in the same line as the Chromebook Pixel, but feels more like a premium device with elegance. The Pixel C supports a single USB-Type C port and connects via Bluetooth 4.1. Moreover, it inductively charges the keyboard, so the users never have to charge it.
The invention of Google Pixel C is to boost the development of computing industry, as per Sundar Pichai, the Chief Executive Officer of Google. The search engine giant expects this next-generation tablet to bring new ways to handle work and entertainment at the same time.
Together with the keyboard, the Pixel C will be both available in time for the holiday season. The price of the Google Pixel C starts at $499 for its 32GB variant, while its keyboard is priced at $149 separately.
On the whole, Pixel C has a great chance of hitting the market with success. It is an ideal device for both work and play. All Android and Google spectators might just wait a little for it will be arriving soon in stores.
