"Silicon Valley" officially gets the green light for another season but details on what happens next are still on the surface and rumors of famous personalities lending assistance to the show's production are still afloat.
HBO has been very positive with the renewal of their hit series "Silicon Valley", formally announcing the show's renewal for the third time exactly a day after the premiere of season two last April, HBOwatch reports.
Six months and a tough legal battle later, details on the upcoming season of the show have still been "off the radar", as lead stars Thomas Middleditch and T.J. Miller would put it. "That's a question for the writer...and I'm not even sure they know," Middleditch and Miller responded during their block at the recently concluded New York Comic Con, as reported by the Examiner.
Middletech and Miller assured fans though that season three will definitely pick up what the preceding season left behind. Season two sees Pied Piper CEO Richard Hendricks (Middeditch) surprisingly being booted out of his position even after being triumphant from an arbitration case with rival company Hooli. The upcoming season will definitely be focusing on Richard trying to win his post back but now in the presence of a new rival.
One thing's for sure though, interesting personalities from the IT industry have been working behind the scenes of this upcoming season. The Hollywood Reporter has mentioned that Firefox co-founder Blake Ross has already drafted a sample script for season three's pilot and it has been receiving positive response from fans and netizens so far.
Former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo has been going in and out of "Silicon Valley's" writer's room, bouncing off possible skits and ideas for the show according showrunner Mike Judge. Costolo, who worked as a standup comedian before, has been a very great help in ensuring the authenticity and relatability of the show's premise.
"It's just great to be able to be spinning stories, coming up with ideas, and just go, 'Hey, Dick, would this ever happen?'," Judge tells Bloomberg.
With the presence of formidable figures from the industry on board, expect more hilarious and spot-on depictions of the tech industry from "Silicon Valley". Season 3 premieres next year on HBO.
