Canon has become one of the best go-to brand for cameras. Now, the company has launched three new cameras: the PowerShot G5 X, PowerShot G9 X and the mirrorless EOS M10.

They are no DSLRs, but the three cameras can still dish out high-quality images that the user can capture. Two of them are point and shoot cameras.

First off is the Canon PowerShot G5 X. The specs include a 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen with 1.04 million dot pixels. It also features command dials that are similar to what is found on their DSLRs.

It also has a 2.36-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, according to USA Today. The lens has an aperture range of f/1.8 up to 2.8 with 42x zoom capability.

In contrast, the Canon PowerShot G9 X has a bt smaller aperture of f/2.0 up to 4.9 with optical zoom lens capable of zooming in three times.

Both cameras are installed with Canon's 20.2 megapixel CMOS sensor with a Digic 6 image processor for shaper and clearer photos. They are also able to capture up to 1080p FHD for videos, according to MarketWatch. Users can choose between shooting in 24, 30 or 60fps in the standard MP4 format.

The PowerShot G5 X and the PowerShot G9 X will start to be shipped in November. For the price, the former costs $799.99 while the latter costs $529.99, respectively.

Canon also launched the new mirrorless EOS M10. It comes with a 18-megapixel sensor, which is relatively lower than the EOS M3's 25-megapixel sensor.

However, it also has the Digic 6 image processor. It can also record 1080p video but only at the average 30 frames per second, according to Fstoppers. To somehow compensate, it has a 49-point hybrid autofocus system.

The Canon EOS M10 comes with a 15-45mm kit les with an aperture of f/3.5-6.3. Just like the two aforementioned cameras, it will also hip in November. It has a price of $599.99.

Canon's new EOS M10, PowerShot G5 X and the PowerShot G9 X holds some potential. Can it be a good alternative for those who can't afford their DSLRs?
