ABC's "How to Get Away with Murder" continues in 'Skanks Get Shanked.' More and more complications arise in episode 4 for Annalise Keating and her five best students. Though, the highlight of this episode would be Annalise and Nia's unusual encounter.
The episode begins with a call Annalise receives from the last person she'd expect to hear from-Nate's dying wife, Nia. The next shocking thing was, her reason for meeting her isn't about her husband's affair.
Annalise agrees to meet her early the next morning. It was, of course, a tense meeting. The two ladies discuss briefly Nate's infidelity. Nia ask's her if she loves Nate and adds, "I need you to love him" and makes a very unexpected and shocking request. Nia wants to end her suffering for herself and Nate, and she wants Annalise to do it by procuring the drug prescription she plans on using to end her life.
Meanwhile, Annalise goes back to her daily grind of caseloads, agreeing to take in a new young client who is going under accusations of murdering her classmate. The young client claims that she is innocent and pins the crime on another girl. They got hold of a video that proves the guilt of the girls, though it does not show which of the teenage girls took the lead.
The video was played in the courtroom. The girls were repeating the phrase, "Skanks Get Shanked." This made Annalise's client utterly furious as she threatens the other girl saying that "you're next," proving even more her guilt. She was still screaming as the police escorted her out of the courtroom.
After the trial, Annalise was confronted by Nate. She shares to him her little meeting with his wife, Nia, but does not reveal any more details. Annalise heads to the hospital once again to see Nia, bringing the pills she requested, but something in her decides that she just can't help Nia end her life.
In the meantime, as Annalise has been juggling cases from the start of the season, one case has been prevalent in all the episodes so far. The adopted siblings Caleb and Catherine Hapstall's murder case has made its way into each episode, and many are now wondering about Annalise's special treatment to the case. She has been working hard to defend it since the case's introduction this season. Annalise even sent one of her star students, Michaela, to flirt with Caleb and get more info. What's so important about this particular case and client?
Many have been speculating that perhaps Caleb is Annalise's long lost son who was given up for adoption, and the reason why she's been working very hard to clear the siblings' names. Perhaps, it will be revealed on the next episode on Thursday. Watch out for "Meet Bonnie" on next week's "HTGAWM" episode, 10pm on ABC.
