While there's no exact release date for 'Cyberpunk 2077,' the visual effects artist of the game gave some valuable information about it and compared the upcoming game with 'The Witcher 3'. Many await if 'Cyberpunk 2077' will really prove itself to be bigger than 'The Witcher 3.
"Cyberpunk 2077," which was first released by CD Projekt Red in 2012, is based on a role-playing game "Cyberpunk 2020" developed by Mike Pondsmith. Though the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 didn't reveal more details, they gave a hint about the upcoming role-playing video game.
After the announcement of "Cyberpunk 2077," Realty Today reported that the Polish game developer focused more on developing "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," which just got released last May. The game was proven to be a major success as it has sold more than six million copies worldwide which could be credited to its open world playing field that players really enjoyed.
On the other hand, "Cyberpunk 2077" game is claimed to be 35 percent larger compared "The Witcher 2." Furthermore, it is also reported that "The Witcher 3" is 20 percent larger than "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim."
Gamespot confirmed the high expectations on "Cyberpunk 2077" in an interview with the Jose Teixeira, the visual effects artist of the game. "Cyberpunk is far bigger than anything else that CD Projekt Red has done before ... far, far bigger," he said.
Teixeira also mentioned that the game developers really learned a lot of things from "The Witcher 3" which could be applied in further development of "Cyberpunk 2077." ''If anything, working on 'The Witcher 3' was a really good and often brutal learning experience. 'Cyberpunk' is going to benefit greatly from it. I can almost guarantee it," he added.
"Cyberpunk 2077" gave no more further information about its release date, but IGN reported some speculations that the game may arrive on PC platform sometime in 2017.
While many players who are already hooked with 'The Witcher 3' doubt that there will be other games that will be bigger than their all-time favorite game. However, some already have high expectations on 'Cyberpunk 2077' and expectantly wait for its release.
