BBC Two's "Peaky Blinders" Season 3 is confirmed to be released in early 2016. Filming started last October 5. Series creator and writer, Steven Knight, shares this season will be "more of the same but different."

So far, there are still no further details of the plot. But according to Independent, Knight shares, "We all think [series three] is going to be the best yet by a long way... we've got a lot of love out there, from the US and here. Great people who want to be part of it. In every way we're stepping up to a new level."

In addition, Knight says that "power" will be the central theme-of "what it can do to you and what you can do to it."

Knight also shares some general details about Season 3: "Life will become more lucrative, more dangerous and more international. Expect births, marriages and deaths and a further expansion of the Shelby empire." In an interview with Deadline, Knight elaborates on his statement. He says that it's a relatively familiar story of someone who fights his way up from the mean streets to become well-respected with the expansion of his empire. But they cannot escape their past. It may still linger with each step they take up or down into higher society.

Meanwhile, Cillian Murphy, who plays Birmingham gangster, Tommy Shelby, shares that the writing for this season was "the strongest it's ever been." He plans on sticking around "so as long as it's that brilliant." In addition, Birmingham Mail also reports that Murphy promises that the third season will be the best yet because of the "phenomenally good" writing.

Cillian Murphy returns with Tom Hardy, Paddy Considine and more for the much-anticipated return of "Peaky Blinders." Catch the epic 1920's gangster drama on its third instalment on BBC Two this 2016.
