The 2016 MacBook Pro is expected soon as earlier models of Apple's Pro laptop get price discounts of up to $800. The next MacBook Pro will reportedly have better security, improved battery life, and bigger RAM size.
Vendors AppleInsider and Adorama partnered to bring customers generous deals for previous generations of MacBook Pro. The discounts offer savings of up to $600 on the 15-inch 2015 MacBook Pro and up to $800 on 2014 units, reported Yibada.
According to the report, customers would also receive AppleCare extended protection worth $349 along with the discounted MacBook Pro price. Accessories such as a free LG super drive and other cash discounts are also being offered.
Venture Capital Post reported that the 2016 MacBook Pro and MacBook Air release will be delayed. The reason for the delay was attributed to the upcoming launch of the new Apple iPad Pro. Apple's new tablet is said to pack much power that will rival other laptops in the market. Apple will likely give time for iPad Pro sales to grow before launching a new device.
The 2016 MacBook Pro will reportedly have better security, enhanced battery, and more RAM. According to a report by Christian Today, the 2016 MacBook Pro will integrate Touch ID fingerprint sensor for additional device security. It rivals Microsoft Surface Book's Windows Hello feature which uses iris biometrics for enhanced protection.
Rumors say that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be powered by the latest Intel Skaylake-U processors and OS X El Capitan. It will reportedly sport Type-C USB ports and will come in two variants: a 13-inch model and a 15-inch version.
Aside from the MacBook Pro, a new MacBook Air is also expected to be released by Apple in 2016. The 2016 MacBook Air is rumored to be the cheapest laptop ever manufactured by Apple.
