'The Winds of Winter' Spoilers, Update: A Horrible War and Empty Iron Throne? Release Expected Before 'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Premiere

By

Fans of the highly-anticipated "The Winds of Winter" have been playing the waiting game, as there has yet to be an official release date for the sixth book. Although George R.R. Martin has been keeping things under the wraps, reports suggest a possible release before the sixth season premiere of "Game of Thrones". Meanwhile, star Finn Jones reportedly thinks that nobody will be on the Iron Throne at the end of the saga.

Along with Natalie Dormer and Keisha Castle-Hughes, actor Finn Jones, who portrays Loras Tyrell in the small screen adaptation, appeared at New York Comic Con and said that he believes there will be no one sitting at the highly coveted Iron Throne by the end of the story, as reported by Christian Post. He reportedly speculated a big war that will take place, thus will see the Ice and Fire factions pitting against each other. Jones added that this might probably lead to the detriment of Westeros and, as a result, the throne made by Valyrian Steel is left.

iDigitalTimes, on the other hand, quoted 27-year-old English actor saying: "A lot of people will die and out of the ashes will come tree people and a select few people will grow and give back power to the people." Out of this phenomenon, reportedly comes the "Dream of Spring," which is about regrowth. Also, some of the good guys who will reportedly bring peace back to the realm are Bran, Brienne and Tyrion.

Dormer also reportedly mentioned about Jones having knowledge about the possible scenarios, as he can be seen on set carrying the source material and is always part of the discussion when it comes to Martin's novels. As for the writers David Beinoff and Dan Weiss, who reportedly keep the manuscript, have been quite tightlipped as they deal with the actors.

Meanwhile, Vine Report suggested that further details regarding "The Winds of Winter" may be unveiled in the nearing months since the sixth season of the TV series is currently under production. However, many reportedly believe that the book might hit the stand prior to the airing of the season opener.

In the meantime, fans will have to continue relying on fan theories and rumors until George R.R. Martin decides to give the official details of "The Winds of Winter".
