Sony has already started rolling out its Concept for Android Marshmallow to 10,000 users who own Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact and participated in the company's Concept for Android program.

According to International Business Times, Sony has stated in a blog post that it will roll out the test build in a gradual manner over the coming weeks, and participating users will be advised on its arrival. It is said that users are required to install 'Sony's Concept for Android' app from the Google Play Store to receive the new update on their devices via over-the-air (OTA) mechanism.

Even if the concept program was initially restricted to 10,000 users, the company has just said that it has now released a "last minute batch of extra spaces". This indicates that a user can participate in the program as well if it wasn't among the first team.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the newest version of Google's standard mobile operating system (OS) and is scheduled to start rolling out soon to more devices from several OEMs. Almost all owners of the present Android smartphones are excitedly waiting to receive this update since it will deliver a swing of neat features and developments to improve the whole experience, Tech Times wrote. The site added that Sony is one of the first OEMs to announce plans for updating select gadgets to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the company is currently creating development in this regard.

Earlier this month, Sony has announced its Concept for Android Marshmallow and now, it already begins to roll out to Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact owners who received an invite for the program.

At the moment, it should be declared that this is not the complete Android 6.0 Marshmallow build which Sony has sworn to roll out shortly to a number of its handsets. In its place, as the name proposes, Sony's Concept for Android is a beta program that the company is utilizing to showcase a latest, more stock-like Android UI and a test drive new features, too, reports Phone arena.

To be qualified to experience the beta program, it should be remembered that a user should own a Sony Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact and lives in the countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany.
