Motorola has already announced that its newest Moto X Pure, Moto X Play and Moto G handsets will be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. The Android 6.0 for 2015 Moto X Pure Edition is currently in 'Test Drive' by select customers.
According to Neuro Gadget, before the new Android 6.0 runs into the moto handsets, the company is currently allowing a very select group of X Pure users to try out the new Operating System. It is said that the Moto X Pure, Moto X Play, and Moto G are the smartphones to receive the update.
The news follows rumors pertaining to a new soak test for the Moto X Pure proposing that Motorola had already initiated a full soak test for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, the Senior Director at Motorola, David Schuster, took to Google+ to give some light on the rumor, Tech Times wrote.
According to the executive, Motorola engineers have truly started testing the new version of Android on the Moto X Pure Edition, but not at the scale that recent reports have suggested. There have been a couple reports of a Marshmallow 'soak test' that has started for Moto X 2015 Pure Edition.
Nevertheless, the Senior Director at Motorola confirmed that they have not set out a formal 'soak test but pointed out that they have started to conduct a small Test Drive for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade on Moto X 2015 Pure Edition.
Schuster added that this test drive for the 2015 Moto X Pure Marshmallow update will open over two following weeks. Motorola will decide when to start the full soak test relying on the response it gets during these trials. Therefore, it's now clear that Motorola has already started testing Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its Moto X Pure Edition (2015); however, it's not a full soak test yet.
Green Bot states that with the Moto X Pure Edition, Motorola has made a phone with a decent back camera along with a Quad HD display and a few exceptional software features. It is indeed genius, and even if the third-generation Moto X may be not be as filled with features compared to other flagships, at least a user can bring home a handset that is not bundled with bloatware.
It is stated that the Moto X was sold unlocked with high-end specs and a user can customize it to his taste. Hence, that is considered as a pretty good deal for $400.
