Fans are up for some treats from Campo Santo, as the company has recently announced the arrival of the forthcoming game "Firewatch" on PlayStation 4 and PC come February 2016. In addition, the studio is reportedly planning to test it out to the gamers who are located in San Francisco.

According to PC Advisor, the San Francisco-based developer Campo Santo unveiled during the E3 2015 that the highly-anticipated first-person adventure game "Firewatch" is coming to Linux, Mac, Windows and PlayStation 4 on February 9th next year. It is worth noting that the game was reportedly meant to be released at some point in 2015, but has been delayed without any reported explanation from the studio.

Meanwhile, PC Mag reported that the developers are currently still polishing and developing the last details of the game. Campo Santo reportedly aims for a worldwide simultaneous release. In fact, the studio is said to have posted some screenshots from the game to build the hype. The publication added that Campo Santo promises to shell out more details leading up to the launch.

"Firewatch" is set in the Wyoming wilderness, where the player's emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio. Gamers will play a man named Henry, who left his struggling life behind in order to become a fire lookout. Reports also say that players will be able to explore a wild and unknown environment, facing questions, and making interpersonal choices.

Tech Times, on the other hand, reported that Campo Santo's Sean Vanaman revealed that the team is planning to conduct a test out game for "Firewatch" as the release date nears. The gamers will reportedly have the chance to experience the game hands-on as long as they're in San Francisco. Moreover, the studio divulged that this opportunity will only be possible for the version running on PS4 hardware.

Hopefully, by the time "Firewatch' hits PlayStation 4 and PC on February 9, 206, the game will live up to its early promises. After all, Campo Santo has racked a fair share of hype for its fans.

What are your thoughts about the game? Are you planning to be one of those test-out gamers?
