iOS 9.1 is breaking records, but if Apple wants to break more records, the industry giant will have to pick up the pace as more and more users are finding bugs in their phones.
Thinky Bits indicates that the latest record that Apple's iOS 9.1 has broken is having the most number of versions released in a given amount of time. In a span of 33 days, Apple has released a total of five updates, which has never happened before. This table by Thinky Bits shows us the lifespan of each beta release.
When iOS 9 was released last month, it was expected and forgivable to find some bugs and errors in the initial release. However, in the succeeding versions, though old problems had been addressed, Apple users kept finding more bugs.
Some of the recent bugs faced with 9.0.2 includes iMessage failures and system wide broken notifications and email. Apple Support Communities online have been experiencing a large influx of inquiries to fix these bugs or at least an expected date to find a patch to the errors from Apple developers.
Macrumors tells us that iOS, when released in September, focused on proactive and intelligent features, placing much emphasis on updating Siri and the search functions. Included in the release were additional features such as split screens for iPads and added functions to the Note application such as the ability to scribble free-hand, create checklists and attach images.
Though it is reported that newer devices such as the iPhone 6, iPhone 6+, iPhone 6s and iPad Mini 4 are experiencing little to no bug problems whatsoever.
It was reported by Forbes that one of the biggest headaches caused by Apple was an inconvenience caused by touchscreen on iPhones and iPads to stop functioning correctly. Reports in communities about misregistered finger presses, intermittently opening apps, misalignments in the keyboard and such.
Though releases for iOS9 seem to be rushed and problems aren't being addressed all too proactively, but the good news is that developers are doing their best to release fixes this time around.
