Apple iOS 9.0.2 causing more harm than good; Facebook app, touchscreen, Game Center affected by iOS bugs

More problems arise from Apple's iOS 9.0.2 version, causing more harm than good. The second iOS 9 update contains bugs affecting touchscreen control, Facebook app, and Game Center in Apple's devices.

iOS 9.0.2 received much negative feedback as users complained of troublesome bugs such as iMessage app failures, broken notification alerts, and inability to receive emails. As days pass after the iOS 9.0.2 rolled out, additional bugs are being reported by users such as touchscreen control issues, Game Center launch failure, and battery drain caused by Facebook app.

Many users experienced their devices dying out too quickly as they installed the latest iOS 9.0.2. According to a report by International Business Times, the battery drain is caused by Facebook's iOS app running in the background. In iOS 9.0.2, the Facebook app reportedly continues to run in the background and does not switch to sleep mode - which is what should normally happen.

Additionally, the Facebook app was reported to take up about 15% battery life within seven days as per a blogger named Matt Galligan. Facebook has been notified of the problem and is currently working out a fix. A Facebook spokesperson said, "We have heard reports of some people experiencing battery issues with our iOS app. We're looking into this and hope to have a fix in place soon." It is not yet sure when the issue will be solved by the company.

Forbes reported that iOS 9.0.2 is causing problems with touchscreen and Game Center. According to the report, the iOS update causes apps to open without being touched and the keyboard also cannot be used correctly. The bug has been reported to appear in all iPhone and iPad units.

Game Center reportedly does not load in iOS 9.0.2. This issue seemed to affect the latest iPhones and iPads such as the iPhone 6s and iPad Air 2. Apple is aware of the problem and advices users to either restore to iOS 9 or downgrade to iOS 8.

However, Venture Capital Post earlier reported that Apple has already removed the option to downgrade to the latest working iOS 8 version. Users are stuck with iOS 9.0.1 and iOS 9.0.2 which are both problematic.

Apple's iOS 9 software promised new features and improvements, but it turned out to bring many problems as well. Hopefully, Apple will solve the issues in the iOS 9.1 update.
