Sony India has just launched the new Xperia Z5 Dual and Xperia Z5 Premium Dual in their country. The newest Xperia Z5 is said to hold a price tag at Rs 52,990, while the flagship Z5 Premium is available at Rs 62,990.
According to Indian express, the latest Sony Xperia Z5 comes in 5.2-inch full HD screen and operates on Android Lollipop 5.1. It sports a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994); Adreno 430 GPU. It also comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage that can be expanded up to 200 GB. This device has the camera in the Z5 series, which comes in 23MP for the rear camera and 5MP for the selfie snapper. In addition, it sports what Sony titles is the world's fastest auto focus at just 0.03 seconds. The Z5 is bundled with a 2900mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Z5 Premium bears the same specs as the Z5 but it differs from the 4K screen and a bigger 3430 mAh battery to power its high-resolution display.
A report from Times of India also notes that the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is considered as the company's flagship offering and also the first smartphone to arrive with a 4K resolution display. This flagship features a 5.5-inch 4K Triluminos display (3840 x 2160p). It upscales content to 4K, which improves any natural or third party videos or photos. Thus, users will be able to view Netflix, YouTube or their personal videos in 4K.
Both Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium will come with a dual-sim feature. These two devices are water-resistant (IP 65/68). Furthermore, these are the first Sony smartphones to feature a fingerprint sensor for security that is being incorporated with the power button, positioned at the right edge of the handset.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Sony Xperia Z5 Dual and Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual packs the Sony's UCH10 quick charger, where a 5.5 hours of usage is possible with just 10 minutes of charging. A Smart Cover for their Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium can also be redeemed by customers at worth Rs. 3,500 from the Xperia Lounge for free, NDTV gadgets wrote.
Other information from Times of India said that the flagship Xperia Z5 Premium can be pre-booked at principal stores across India starting October 25 to November 4, 2015. Customers who pre-book will be given an MDR-EX31BN Sony wireless headset worth Rs 5,490.
From October 23, the new Sony Xperia Z5 smartphone will be officially available. On the other hand, the flagship Z5 Premium variant will come available starting November 7.
