As the highly demanded and anticipated game, Fallout 4, comes out to the market, some retailers find a way to catch up with the demand too. Retailers in turn must think of strategies to boost their sales along with Fallout 4 demand, including the exciting and odd ones.
Fallout 4, with its Pip-Boy Edition garnered success during its unveiling at the recently held Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). As it went on sale, one of the most anticipated game bundles was instantly sold out. The recent update was posted in Fallout 4's official website where it announced that its Pip-Boy Edition shall once be available for purchase. Cinema Blend points the success of this particular edition is its relation to the items used in the game. Pip-Boy items seem to be life-sized replicas of the same devices that characters use in Fallout games. What makes it more interesting is that it is functional. The items are wearable and work with different mobile devices such as Android and Apple products. Once attached, the device actually works.
However, Fallout 4's Best Buy bundle is not as exciting as the sold out Pip-Boy Edition. It comes with three items: a copy of the game itself, a Season Pass, and a pair of Vault Boy socks. Gotta Be Mobile commented that it is not a bad deal for a price of $85 as it laid out other good things about the bundle. One thing is that members of the Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked can get the bundle for just $68. Furthermore the Season Pass shall allow players to have access to all Fallout 4 DLCs. Meaning, one may assume to get access to new gears, quests, zones, and more bonuses.
At present, there are only two versions of the Fallout 4, namely; the standard and the collector's edition. According to a VG 24/7 post, since the collector's edition has been sold out, that leaves the standard edition alone. In effect, each retailer has to get creative as they are to assure a good number of pre-orders for a highly demanded game. And this is what Best Buy has exactly done; to throw in something extra along with a Season Pass, which turned out to be a pair of socks.
Being a highly anticipated game, Fallout 4 can stand by itself. However, retailers who want to assure good business comes up with exciting, and even odd things which they could add-on with the game. By exciting and odd, it could mean from functional devices to a pair of socks.
