On June 14, 2015, Microsoft invited Bethesda, publisher of Fallout 4 to demonstrate its gameplay in an E3 press conference. Aside from the demonstration, Bethesda showcased Fallout 4's new game developments and announced its release set on November 2015 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Tedd Howard, Bethesda's Game Director, revealed that the game shall be playable on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Moreover, the game mods which were playable in the PC can also be playable in the Xbox One which means that Xbox players can now download and install mods which are user-created from the PC version as reported by Kotaku.

Aside from compatibilities, Bethesda has also been working on the 'modification' aspect of Fallout 4, adding more pinch of realism in the gameplay. Digital Trends reported that the first feature is the improved character customization wherein a player can actually mold and place facial features, adjust hair and skin tone, and choose the sex of the character of choice. Dynamism was also added to conversations, and a player can now interrupt an NPC by shouting, walking away, or shooting while the latter is in the middle of their speech.

In addition, Bethesda has also recorded more than a thousand common names so that a player would be called by a proper noun instead of being called by a silly nickname. One can also pick up random scrap materials and use them to modify one's weapon or equipment. Lastly, the new dog companion in Fallout 4 is a lot human-friendly and could actually take commands.

The storyline is set in Boston just before the bombing. A couple is shown to having a little chat in the bathroom, and as they look in the mirror, the character customisation begins. Then as the city is being bombed, the protagonist seeks shelter into Vault 111 and emerges 200 years later.

The player will be immersed into "an enormous dynamic world," where one's character would be the kind of character he wants, go wherever he wants and do whatever he wants. "Player freedom remains our absolute number one goal", Howard added. Aside from the thousand name recordings, Bethesda has created 50 base weapons which can be customized to over 700 modifications. Bethesda regards Fallout 4 as "the most ambitious gameworld they have created" according to a report by The Guardian.

Fallout 4, published by Bethesda, would be released in the market on November 10, 2015, which can be playable on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
