'American Crime Story' Updates: John Travolta portrays Robert Shapiro in new promo; Selma Blair films as Kris Jenner and More

"American Crime Story", the upcoming anthology series from Ryan Murphy, is now beginning to take shape. New developments include a promo released by FX featuring a first look at John Travolta as Robert Shapiro and Selma Blair shooting scenes as Kardashian matriarch, Kris Jenner. The series has also added Angel Parker to join its A-list cast members.

On Thursday, FX has released the first four teasers of American Crime Story offering viewers a first look at John Travolta portraying the character of Robert Shapiro. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, “One of the four teasers released today for FX's upcoming anthology series, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, reveals Travolta in character as the famous lawyer who successfully defended O.J. Simpson in his 1995 murder trial”.

The 15-second clip finds Travolta saying this line to Cuba Gooding Jr., (who plays Simpson): “Anytime that I take on a new criminal case, I always ask the client a question. Now, I won’t be judgmental so ... ”

Behind the scenes photos also surfaced online, allowing followers to get a sneak peek look at Selma Blair who portrays the role of Kris Jenner on the series.

The Daily Mail reported that Blair wasn’t the only star spotted on location. “Not only was the matriarch of the family well represented during the day of filming as Selma was joined by David Schwimmer, who is portraying attorney Robert Kardashian, in addition to the children portraying their kids Kourtney, Kim and Rob,” the publication shared.

In other developments, American Crime Story has added another actor on its star-studded cast. Variety learned that actress Angel Parker has recently joined the series as attorney Shawn Chapman, the lawyer who worked on Simpson’s legal team back in the 90s. Parker’s recent TV credits include: ER, Castle and Sean Saves the World.

"American Crime Story" is a new anthology series which hails from uber-producer Ryan Murphy. Its first season, The People v. OJ Simpson, is based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. OJ Simpson penned by Jeffrey Toobin.

FX has yet to announce the official premiere date of "American Crime Story".
