"The Vampire Diaries" will take Bonnie, Damon, and Alaric on a road trip mission on Thursday’s episode – while also giving fans a new insight about the Phoenix Stone mystery. Promotional photos were also released by the CW to give viewers some sneak peek preview of the Oct. 22nd installment titled “Age of Innocence”.
The intensifying feud between Damon and his mother is still taking place when viewers tune-in on Thursday’s hour: “In the aftermath of a clever plan orchestrated by Lily (Annie Wersching), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) sets off on a road trip with Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Alaric (Matt Davis) in search of leverage they can use against his mother,” revealed the episode description shared by the CW via The Futon Critic.
The network also released a gallery of promotional images for “Age of Innocence”, giving away some pretty intense sequences for Kat Graham, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder’s characters.
“Based on the photos, it looks like Bonnie will use her witch powers in the upcoming episode. However, she's hell-bent on destroying that phoenix stone, so it's pretty unlikely that she's going to do magic to help Alaric bring Jo back from the dead,” Melty previewed in a report.
Speaking of the Phoenix Stone, viewers of the Julie Plec-produced drama should expect for this element to be heavily explored.
“A lot is happening in the beginning of the season as we go on these little missions. This one is all about the Phoenix Stone; we’re going to learn why it’s important, what it can do and how it’s connected to other things,” Graham warned in a report from TV Line.
