HTC One M7's Android 6.0 Marshmallow update plans have been cancelled due to ineligible specs. According to the official list of HTC's Marshmallow plans for its devices, One M7 cannot meet the qualifications of the software that it failed to proceed to the development stage.
Contrary to what has been stated in previous reports, HTC One M7 devices will officially not be seeing a glimpse of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software. A list of official HTC smartphones and tablets to receive Marshmallow revealed that Marshmallow had been cancelled for the device.
Accordingly, cancelled status means the Android 6.0 Marshmallow did not pass as per evaluation of the device manufacturer which also means cancellation is permanent for the handset device. Should One M7 pass the evaluation it will be confirmed and proceed to development stage, only two steps away from official release.
