Ash vs. Evil Dead: Starz releases 4-minute opening scene of the Bruce Campbell-starred horror series

On Saturday, Starz will finally launch "Ash vs. Evil Dead" – an upcoming horror series starred and executive produced by Bruce Campbell. After months of waiting, the cable network has released the 4-minute opening scene from the season opener that didn’t fail to give fans the twist they were hoping for. Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Craig DiGregorio join Campbell in headlining the 10-episode first season.

As shared by Bloody Disgusting, the first minutes of the Oct. 31st season premiere got an introduction to Bruce Campbell’s flawed character.

The 4-minute clip finds an energetic Ash whose age didn't stop him from being the arrogant and over-confident character that he is. Later, we see him ending up inside a filthy bathroom unleashing his sexual desires to a complete stranger he just met. Unfortunately for Ash, the climax he was hoping for was a horrific one.

Viewers who are still having second thoughts about watching Ash vs. Evil Dead, Collider offered the nits and grits about the series in a report.

The contemporary version picksup thirty years later following the events of Army of Darkness with Cambell reprising his role as Ash Williams. He's still the lazy character viewers once knew and as expected, revels into sexual acts. However, he still becomes the hero since he's the only one who can handle the looming Deadite invasion.

Ash vs. Evil Dead is the long-awaited successor of the horror film franchise, The Evil Dead. And according to Screen Crush, the story of this origin also explored on Campbell’s character dealing with supernatural creatures.

It told the adventures of Ash and his friends as they set foot on a woodland cabin, accidentally releasing demons who's on a mission to possess the living.

Picking up 30 years later, the follow up story of the film “The Evil Dead” will finally kick off this Saturday on Starz. Aptly titled “Ash vs. Evil Dead”, the horror-series aims to continue the adventures of Ash as he battles the monstrous creatures around him. To this end, Starz has released the first 4-minute opening scene to give fans a closer look into Bruuce Campbell’s latest TV offering.
