Mojang's open-ended sandbox hit, Minecraft, gets a horror-themed bonus in its Halloween Mashup Pack. Such bonuses include Halloween-themed skins, creatures, ghostly music and other bonuses. This pack is available at $3.99 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. On another hand, a snapshot of the game also revealed some improvements done in the game.
"'Tis the season to be eerie" is the motto as 4J Studios and Microsoft has announced the horror-themed bonus for Minecraft, entitled Halloween Mashup Pack. Coming with this mashup pack is a DLC featuring a roller coaster ride and ghostly music.
Some new horror-themed skins and a creepy texture pack are coming to consoles. Tech Times reveals that 43 new skins will be featured in the mashup for a chilling weekend. It includes skins such that of Bride of Frankenstein, the Grim Reaper, 3-Face, Wicked Witch, Swamp Monster, and even Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
This Halloween pack is available starting Friday, October 23, which was designed by Mojang to bring some scare. Aside from the pack, Mojang also released the snapshot 15w43b of the game. The snapshot somehow revealed the developments and improvements for the game. According to Christian Post, these includes crash fixes, new structure, a new loot table concept, improved debug menu, increased amount of stronghold, and subtitles, an all new feature of the game.
On its official site, Mojang posted that they shall be releasing the Halloween-themed content for Windows 10 and Pocket Edition. With its recent blog announcement, it said that those who does not play Minacraft in any console can also access some Halloween bonuses. Such bonus features 15 skins available for 99 cents including an Iron Golem and Zombie skins for free. A full list of skins can be seen on Gamespot's website.
With the Halloween approaching Mojang specifically designed the world of Minecraft to bring some scare. With new horror-themed skins, scary music, and a roller coaster ride, Minecraft players are up for a chilling weekend.
