The Expendables 4 has been confirmed to give another round of heart-stopping action as it has been confirmed for a 2017 release date. Recent cast speculations also suggest that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Hullk Hogan might be the film's villains while Salman Khan is also in talks to join the cast.
Despite the relatively lower earning of the third film among previous instalments, Comingsoon.net confirmed that the film is underway and will begin filming in 2016. Nu Image and Millenium has confirmed that the release will be some time in 2017 but no specific date has been sealed for The Expendables 4 as of yet.
Casting details are currently under wraps, although, the film is believed to stick to its all-star formula and could have a budget of $100 million. The franchise has been notable not only for its action sequences but also for its star-studded casting with big action stars such as Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, and Arnold Schwarzenneger among many others.
Moreover, as reported by Movie News Guide, Stallone is also currently eyeing on getting Dwayne Johnson and Hulk Hogan as main villains in the film. While Hogan previously revealed his talk with Stallone about the potential role, Johnson did not reveal whether or not he is in negotiations to star, however, he previously expressed his interest in playing as the bad guy.
Also, The News Tribe claims that Stallone could be eyeing on Bollywood actor Salman Khan to join the cast.His character has not been revealed, but he is widely speculated to make his Hollywood debut through the film.
Stallone is likely to return as Barney Ross, but aside from him no other actors have been confirmed to return or join the cast as of . However, more official cast and plot details for The Expendables 4 are expected to be announced when production progress.
