Samsung Galaxy S7 To Launch On January 2016 In Two Variants? Predicted Features and Specs Detailed

By

Following the success of Samsung's current flagship, the Galaxy S6, the South Korean company is expected to release another smartphone under the same series on January 2016. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is believed to arrive in two variants, housing amazing features and specs.

According to Stuff, the Galaxy S7 is believed to be launched sporting a curved screen as standard, abandoning the traditional regular display. It will arrive in both 5.2-inch and 5.7-inch models that will be called the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Plus.

Furthermore, IBTimes said on its article that the forthcoming flagship of Samsung might sport either the company's much owned Samsung Exynos or the newest chipset by Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 820. It was also reported that Samsung could be using both the chipsets depending on its target market. Perhaps, the Qualcomm silicon powered phones will head to the U.S. markets, while the Exynos SoC will be delivered to Asian countries.

PC Advisor added other possible features that the Samsung Galaxy S7 might carry. The upcoming smartphone from Samsung is saidt to sport a 4K or Ultra HD display with 2160 x 3840 resolution. The Galaxy S7's screen is expected to be protected by a stronger glass called Turtle Glass.

As for the device's body, there were talks that Samsung has been experimenting with a lighter yet just as tough magnesium-based alloy for the Galaxy S7. It'll have a removable batter and will support the newest USB Type C that is almost present on new flagship smartphones from other manufacturers.

Galaxy S7 is rumored to be packed with 64 GB of internal memory and a 4 GB of RAM, but there were suggestions that Samsung is most likely to remain on 32 GB. Currently, it is still unknown if the South Korean smartphone manufacturer will house a slot for microSD. Lastly, it is expected that Samsung will stick to 16-megapixel rear camera but it will have improvements on optical image stabilization and perhaps some software features like a fully manual mode.

If this information is to be believed, it seems evident that Samsung Electronics is bringing its next product in another level. Since the Samsung Galaxy S7's specs and features appears to be a mile higher than its predecessor, Galaxy S6, the company can expect another huge success from its forthcoming handset.
