Racing fanatics should be ready, as Kazunori Yamauchi officially announced the "Gran Turismo 7" title as "Gran Turismo Sport" during the Paris Games Week. In addition to that, the game is confirmed to arrive in PlayStation 4 next year.
According to PlayStation, Japanese game designer Kazunori Yamauchi, along with SCEE CEO and President Jim Ryan, unveiled on stage the latest "Gran Turismo" iteration - the "Gran Turismo Sport." The revelation happened at the Paris Games Week PlayStation Press Conference. Also, the Polyphony team reportedly discussed how advanced the graphics, physics, and sounds that PlayStation 4 offers; hence it wasn't impossible for them to deliver the most realistic driving simulator to date.
"Gran Turismo Sport" is set to deliver a revolution in the way people experience driving video games, sort of like a motorsports rebirth. Meanwhile, Trusted Reviews noted that there's more to "Gran Turismo Sport." It is believed that there's going to be two flagship FIA Championships, both running simultaneously throughout the year. First is the National Cup, where gamers can represent their home country; whereas the other is the Manufacturers Fan Cup, where they're given the opportunity to play their favorite manufacturer.
Wired, on the other hand, reported that "Gran Turismo Sport" will be compatible with PlayStation VR as well. Doing so will allow players to feel like they are indeed driving some of the planet's most powerful cars. Furthermore, the game is believed to help racing car manufacturers explore new technologies and types of racing, as they focus on the future of motorsports in the 100 years to come.
Although no VR demo was presented during Paris Games Week, the president of Sony PlayStation Shuhei Yoshida reportedly said before that the headset has worked appropriately during the racing games trial tests. Hence, many speculated that things will go well for "Gran Turismo Sport."
Despite no specific date, fans can expect "Gran Turismo Sport" to arrive next year. From there, they can experience all the game has to offer from the power of PlayStation 4.
