The South Korean tech giant is bound to unveil another smartphone for its flagship line-up. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to arrive in two variants January next year. This device is speculated to be armed with enhanced and improved specs compared to its predecessor, Galaxy S6.
According to Latinos Post, Samsung Electronics will follow its old strategy of unveiling its flagship devices. The South Korean tech giant is speculated to have moved the launch of Samsung Galaxy S7 to an earlier date than the planned February 2016 inauguration. Samsung wishes to make Galaxy S7 publicly available by mid-January, remarkably close to the forthcoming Mobile World Congress.
In addition, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 may be offered in two models, varying in screen dimensions one will be at 5.2 inch and the other one in a 5.7 inch. It was also reported that one of the S7's will sport a dual-edge display while the other one is believed to be featuring a flat screen and both versions are to be released simultaneously. With this strategy it seems that it is an effort to outsell its main competitor, the iPhone 6s.
The Galaxy S7 might combat against the iPhone 6s next year in terms of camera technology. There have been talks that it will sport 20 megapixels camera capacity. With this supposed huge upgrade, Apple Inc. might want to consider rethinking the iPhone's camera feature. Moreover, Samsung is reported to be incorporating a ClearForce display, and a USB Type-C into its latest Galaxy S release and so does the Galaxy S7 might sport both features.
As for the Galaxy S7's processor, there were speculations that the one that will be released in India will have the Exynos 7422 processor, making it as powerful as the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. There have also been statements that the other variant heading for Korea, China, and Europe will be equipped with the Exynos 8890 chipset.
Apart from the release date and features, there were also rumors that the two variants of Galaxy S7 are actually not the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge but are rather variants of the S7 Edge. The upcoming models of the Galaxy S7 might be called the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and S7 Edge Plus as Christian Post stated on its report.
None of this information was confirmed by the South Korean tech giant, and it seems that the avid fans of Galaxy S series still has to wait a little longer for the company's announcement. As of the moment, they have to rely on rumors and speculations about the Samsung Galaxy S7.
