Apple to collaborate with Samsung in its OLED technology for iPhone 7?

Apple is planning to collaborate with Samsung with its new iPhone 7. It is said that Samsung will provide OLED display samples for future iPhones and that includes the one upcoming in 2016. With such technology, screen resolution of iPhones could be more interesting than before.

Techno Mauri mentioned that Apple will finalize its plan by November if it will incorporate Samsung's OLED technology in its devices. It is also known that LG is supplying its OLED display to Apple Watch, the report added. Integrating such technology will surely make a major aspect in the display of iPhone 7.

When it comes to other features of the iPhone, Value Walk stated that Apple will incorporate LTE modem chip. This is going to be significant to the phone, especially in transmitting wireless 4G data. The report added that Intel will be a secondary supplier, aside from Qualcomm, in order to meet the demand of supply. Related report also said that waterproofing and dustproofing are being considered in the new iPhone 7. More so, the new iPhone will come with Series 7000 aluminum, sapphire glass and new colour choices.

According to an exclusive page of iPhone 7, the new phone will be equipped with A10 processor that will have six cores. It is also expected that the new iPhone will come with a screen size of up to 5.7 inches and a battery that will come with layered units. The storage capacity will have 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. On the other hand, the new iPhone may have a price tag of $850 for 16GB, $1000 for 64GB and $1100 for 128GB, according to the page.

With such partnership of the two smartphone and rival companies, Samsung does not have any official statement yet regarding the incorporation of its OLED technology in iPhone 7. While Apple does not have any comment yet regarding their exact plans on the technology.
