'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' is an upcoming film directed by J.J. Abrams. In an interesting turn of events, theaters will ban cosplay paraphernalia such as masks and weapons from screenings. A Duracell Christmas commercial may have possibly revealed some spoilers.

According to IGN, fans may need to leave their favorite fan paraphernalia during the theatrical screening of the latest addition to the 'Star Wars' saga since several theaters have reportedly banned certain props from being brought in their establishments. Cinemark and AMC released a statement that said, "AMC does not permit weapons or items that would make other guests feel uncomfortable or detract from the movie-going experience."

AMC permits costumes, sans masks, as well as light sabers as long as they are turned off during the movie. Cinemark, however, bans light sabers entirely. The restrictions are said to be safety measures to prevent violence from occurring.

The adventure-fantasy and science-fiction film is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015. According to Entertainment Weekly, fans will have the chance to catch an early screening should they decide to fly to Paris. It was reported that Air France is offering a promotion wherein guests can fly into Charles de Gaulle Airport and straight into a selected theater for an early screening - two days before 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' premieres in the United States.

However, Duracell may have given waiting audiences an unexpected surprise spoiler in its newly released Christmas advert. According to the Independent, Duracell's commercial showed C-3PO sporting a mysterious red arm. His red arm suggested that the iconic character may be a villain in the upcoming film.

'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' is an upcoming epic adventure-fantasy film and considered the seventh installment in the main 'Star Wars' film series. It will feature the return of original cast Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia respectively. They will be joined by Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Domnhall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Peter Mayhew and Andy Serkis among others.
