'Bridget Jones's Baby' is an upcoming romantic comedy film starring Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth reprising their roles as Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy. The two actors were photographed on-set doting over a baby during filming of a christening scene. Patrick Dempsey of 'Grey's Anatomy' fame joins the cast as Bridget's rumored new love interest.

The new sequel will reportedly pick up 10 years after the last film 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason'. The Daily Mail posted new photographs of Zellweger and Firth on the filming set looking very much like doting parents of a newborn baby during what looked to be a christening scene in Oxfordshire. Zellweger had a baby swaddled in a blanket while Firth towered over them looking proud with a smile on his face.

According to People Magazine, Zellweger gushed over the chance to play the famously awkward heroine brought to life by author Helen Fielding in her novels of the same name. She admitted, "[It's] such a treat to have the opportunity to revisit it." She said it was like a "nice reunion with old friends."

Zellweger last appeared as Bridget in 2004's 'Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason' directed by Beeban Kidron. The last film garnered generally negative reviews but gained the actress another Golden Globe nomination as well as a People's Choice Award for Favorite Leading Lady.

According to OK! Magazine, Patrick Dempsey has joined the cast although it remains unknown what his role in 'Bridget Jones's Baby' will be. He was spotted filming scenes with Zellweger and co-star Sally Philips. He was speculated to take on the role as Bridget's newest love interest, making him Darcy's latest rival for the heroine's affections.

'Bridget Jones's Baby' is an upcoming romantic comedy that serves as the third installment in the live-action series centered around the life of a clumsy and unlucky-in-love Brit. It is scheduled to be released on September 16, 2016 and is directed by Sharon Maguire.
