Microsoft is offering an update to Windows 10 that started on November 2. The upgrade is free to all who have Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 until July 2016. Windows 10 brings new features, services, and an improved performance.

According to IT Pro, customers should perform the update now while it's free, so that users may be able to avoid a fee of £100. The report also mentioned some insights regarding the new platform, which include the Internet Explorer that will be replaced by Windows 10's default browser - Microsoft Edge. More so, Android and iOS apps will run on the new OS, a related report said.

Beta News mentioned that the platform offers a new messaging app, and some twists like a new image of the Start menu that enables more Live Tiles. Microsoft's page also noted that Windows 10 will offer new Skype Video apps compared to native Skype calling and messaging support.

A 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM for the 32-bit version, and 2GB of memory for the 64-bit version is needed to be able to successfully download Windows 10, as stated in a previous report. On the other hand, Windows 10 will not be available for RT devices that have ARM-based hybrids and tablets. It is also expected that there will be a new phone in the market place, called Windows 10, in the near future.

In a report from Forbes, it stated that the new operating system can be either manually or automatically updated. Users can check their Optional Update if it is in proper settings. After the update, there will be at least 31 days to go back to the previous Windows version if users do not like it.

Windows users can now update their operating system while it is free. Published reports said that the Windows 10 version is just easy to use, and that users can automatically or manually update it in their devices.
