Halloween on "Brooklyn Nine Nine" Season 3 once again features Detective Peralta and Captain Holt trying to outwit each other (this time, on a different kind of heist) while the show's follow up episode has been temporarily delayed.
Three years into the show and you would know that when Halloween strikes, it's time for a heist. It has been some sort of tradition that top detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Nine Nine's chief Captain Ray Holt (Andre Braugher).
This time though, the heist will once and for all settle if who really between them is the "amazing detective/captain and genius" as they are currently tied both with one win. As you can recall, Peralta was able to steal the captain's medal of valor in season one while Captain Holt was successful in making Jake believe that he was able to take his watch (which he actually didn't) in season two.
The heist for "Brookyn Nine Nine" season three however, has a twist. Instead of Jake trying to steal an item from Capt. Holt, both of them will now be trying to get hold of the same item - a crown. Vulture reports that opting for this format for the heist is a good move because it allows everyone in the cast to join in and not take sides, including Amy (Melissa Fumero) who is now Jake's girlfriend.
With that in place, TV Fanatic adds that the episode has been filled with lots of funny moments and standout punchlines. Some of these include Rosa's Little Bo Peep ensemble, Boyle's ambiguous costume that looked like a pop tart, the appearance of Terry's twins meant to distract Jake, and a whole lot more. Ironically and quite predictably, it was Amy (who was intentionally secluded out from the game) emerged as the winner because you know, she's Amy.
As fun as the Halloween episode of "Brooklyn Nine Nine" was, International Business Times also reports that the air date for the next episode has been moved next week. Called Into the Woods, it was planned to be aired on November 1 but due to some internal reasons, the episode will be aired a week after.
Despite the delay, there have been spoilers circulating around cyberspace which will leave the fans curious. In this episode, Jake, Charles and Terry will be going on a camping trip and just like any other episode, there will be a lot of twists that would have the trio spooning each other in the middle of the forest.
