Techland's zombie apocalypse survival game, Dying Light: The Following is rumored to have its new DLC released within the first quarter of 2016. There are also rumors of its release in the upcoming Paris Games Week. The DLC basically features an expansive new world which is out of the usual urban setting, along with new items, weapons, and a customizable dirt buggie.
Techland have been generous as some sneak peeks in the game were revealed in a demo video during the Gamescom. The features unveiled include a fully customizable dune buggy, new gears, new items, and some additional weapons. Techland has also been recently collecting fan feedbacks as it plans to include some messages of distress, horror, and bravery actually submitted by fans in a unique old post office mission, Christian Post reported. While no confirmed date has been released yet, the game is expected to come out in Q1 2016 to provide the developers more time in perfecting the expansion. The latter promised that the expansion will be worth the wait through the content and surprises which await the fans.
According to Christian Today, the DLC also brings a new meaning of the word 'expansion' with its massive open field area. This open world takes a player out of the usual urban setting into a whole new realm. The extensive rural setting allows one to freely slay zombies either through walking or by weaponized vehicles.
Dying Light: The Following's expansion is a sign of the developer's gratitude to fans as the game already sold over 5 million copies. Yibada reveals that the overwhelmed developers have added ten more hours of gameplay in this expansion, along with a number of bold game-changers. With this 'thank you treat', the developers promised "something big that will give the game a brand-new flavor. We also kept a close eye on player feedback to help tailor what we've created here. Hopefully people will see that this new expansion is first and foremost, for the fans."
Explore the many caves, farms, open fields, waterfalls, and more in the expansive DLC of Dying Light: The Following which is hoped to release on Q1 of 2016. The expansion will be available for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
