'Deadpool' leading man Ryan Reynolds, who plays the titular anti-hero, released a personal video entitled 'How Deadpool Spent Halloween'. New images from on-set have recently been released showing various characters including Ajax and Angel Dust.
Reynolds posted a comical new video on his YouTube account showing him in full costume as Deadpool surrounded by children in various superhero outfits. The trick-or-treaters were dressed as X-Men characters including Storm, Wolverine and Mystique as Reynolds bombarded them with random questions and expletives. The 39-year old Canadian actor is all set to portray the Wade Wilson a.k.a. the Merc with a Mouth in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the character from the Marvel comic books.
According to Coming Soon, Reynolds' unconventional hero first was first introduced as a villain in 2009's 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'. Deadpool is described as a mentally unstable mercenary with an irritatingly talkative nature and obnoxious sense of humor. The lethal swordsman is endowed with a superhuman ability for bodily regeneration through accelerated healing powers.
The film will also feature Morena Baccarin as Wade's girlfriend Vanessa, T.J. Miler as Wade's best friend Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Ed Skrein as Ajax and Gina Carano as Angel Dust. It was previously reported that Marvel Comics co-creator Stan Lee will also be making a cameo.
New images from on-set and behind-the-scenes were recently released, according to Comic Book Movie. One image showed Reynolds as Deadpool engaged in conversation with director Tim Miller. Another image showed Ajax and Angel Dust standing over Wade preparing to go under the knife.
'Deadpool' is an upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel character of the same name. The film, directed by Tim Miller, is scheduled to be released on February 12, 2016 in North America and will also be shown in IMAX theaters. It will include the character's origin story as well as his misadventures.
