Jason Voorhees is here to stay as Gun Media, IllFonic and Crystal Lake Entertainment brought the famous psychopath in hockey mask in a horror video game Friday the 13th. Jason will brutalize Camp Crystal Lake in one of his wrap, the burlap sack, his choice of cover way back in 1981 movie franchise. Game developers stated their planned stretch goals while inviting fans to support their fundraising campaign for the improvement of the game.

The pop icon of horror movie is making a name in horror video game as Gun Media brought back the famous psychopath Jason Voorhees in Camp Crystal Lake assaulting camp counselors. Though Jason is well-known for his hockey mask, game developers give fans a chance to see him wearing a burlap sack with one hole cut out on the left side, his mask of choice in 1981's Friday the 13th Part 2, cited Movie Pilot.

Randy Greenback, executive producer for Gun Media, said (via Popular Science) that they created a sandbox that allows players to plan and use tools to re-create what is in the movies. Greenback added that they wanted the players to feel how Jason is inventive and creative by putting powers in the hands of the players.

Since the game is not funded but rely on crowdsourcing, game developers announced their stretch goals to hit monetary targets.

Cosmic Book News wrote that while the game is at its 75% funding goal mostly backed by pledges from over 8,000 backers, the team declared several plans they called stretch goals for the Kickstarter Campaign. The plans include the possible additional playable characters such as Pamela Voorhees, Tommy Jarvis and a litany of kills hand-designed by Tom Savini.

The site added that the team is highly confident following the surprising positive reactions of fans to Jason's return to video games. The launch trailer alone garnered over a million views and engagements across social media platforms. With this development, the game developers are hoping to bring Camp Crystal Lake to life on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Friday the 13th is expected to be available in 2016.
