The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' may be in post-production now, but its actress Megan Fox is still very much in the camera spotlight. Fox was recently spotted being friendly with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, amidst the fans' negative reception of her upcoming 'New Girl' stint.
The Daily Mail UK spotted Fox and Green running errands together last Wednesday. The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' actress was dressed casually as the two were photographed sans their sons, three-year-old Noah and one-year-old Bodhi. While they have filed for divorce last June, the pair seem to be working out an amicable relationship for their children.
While Fox might be having luck in her family life as her relationship with ex-husband looks up, her professional career is facing a big challenge. Fans are up in arms when it was announced that the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' star will temporarily be replacing Zooey Deschanel in 'New Girl.' Deschanel is on maternity leave. Many took to social media sites, like Twitter, to call out producers on what they deem a "huge mistake."
According to Crossmap, even if Fox was was praised by 'New Girl' Creator and Executive Producer Liz Meriwether, and endorsed by New Girl star, Zooey Deschanel herself, many viewers are still sceptical of the showrunners' decision to cast the the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' female lead.
The 29-year old actress was already seen on the 'New Girl' set as a medical sales representative named Reagan. Meriwether acknowledges that showing four episodes of 'New Girl' without Deschanel's Jess is a huge gamble but the team are being hopeful about it. However, the first four episodes of Season 5 will still feature Jess. The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' actress will be introduced in the fifth episode.
Meanwhile, Movie Pilot shared the first looks of the cast while filming the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2'. Featured in the post is Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, a fan favourite character. Gary Williams and Stephen Farrelly are seen playing Beebop and Rocksteady respectively. Tyler Perry plays the role of Baxter Stockman, while Brian Tee is in costume as the new Shredder. On the other hand, Judith Hoag, who played April O'Neil in the original film, will have a cameo in 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' as an yet-unknown character.
The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' looks to be very different from the first film, as new actors added to the cast, and is made by a new director. Before the movie is released on 3 June 2016, its actress Megan Fox can be seen in the fifth season of 'New Girl,' as Deschanel's temporary replacement.
